Perfect tours are like Christmas day for all fangirls in the world. The Resolution Tour was definitely a tour that was simply remarkable and nearly perfection. Action Item headlined and brought along friends Paradise Fears, Before You Exit, and Hello Highway to open for them. But Action Item always has a special twist under their sleeve for their fans. Each clump of dates got a special opener. Like for the East coast shows Outasight opened, you might have heard of them on the hm...radio and iTunes charts?! On the other side of the country, the West coast got the Youtube sensation Max Schneider to open. Those are only a few of the special openers that appeared on The Resolution Tour. I had the chance to go to the Minnesota show along with the VIP package. The VIP started an hour before doors opened and each band played one song acoustically. Then fans got to interact, take pictures, and get their autographs with the remainder of the VIP session. It was very cool and laid back. It's always heartwarming to see how kind and thoughtful band members are with their fans. Many are so comfortable with the band Action Item and Paradise Fears that it's like they are friends. The show starts with Hello Highway taking the stage. He played acoustically along side with the band The Fourth and Coast. It was a nice and refreshing set. See more photos at here | But then GOLDHOUSE hit the stage and his performance and the venue turned into a night club. He played remixes and his own techo songs that got the crowd on their feet and hands in the air. Next, Before You Exit played and can you say CUTIES. The band consists of 3 not only eye appealing but talented brothers. They performed a few new songs off their new EP (check that out on iTunes too!) with their classic songs that the crowd sang loud and proud. After that energizing set, Paradise Fears came on stage and the crowd went crazy. Sam Miller the lead singer, during the song Sanctuary, sang with so much passion and heart I could spot a few fans in the crowd crying! It's always a pleasure watching that band do their thing and take over the stage. Now finally, Action item's time to shine. They started out with their new song Good or Bad off of their new EP Resolution. The whole crowd became a choir and sang to every note, beat, and riff as if they did it in their sleep. I looked and saw Anthony Li, the guitarist, stop for a moment and really looked at the crowd and just smiled. I couldn't have been more proud for such a deserving band. The first time they headlined in Minnesota they only had 50 people show up and here they stand playing for a crowd of a few hundred. The Resolution Tour was a tour that you just could not miss. The lineup was perfect, the set lists were perfect, and was a dream come true for many fangirls. Check out these bands if you haven't heard them, because not only are the astonishing live, but their music is something really great. Cyndi Hua |
